A good advice to everyone:
Be critical when you choose a contest. Within the first 48 hours or even less one can already tell if a contest will be mismanaged. Ask these questions: are the entries rated? Is the CH providing clear instructions and feedback? How long it takes before the CH reacts to a question and is that reaction time enough to establish a dialogue that defies the time constrains of the contest? Is the answer helpful? Is the CH being consistent and if not, are you able to get on the same page within the first 48 hours. Pull out if you answered "no" to most of these questions. It will save you a lot of frustration and time. Time that you can use designing for contests that are well managed.

I dont know why she told everyone at the last minute what brands she wanted to the design to look like. We call submitted a variety of designs until the very end... and last minute she decides she wants the design to look like an array of other brands. This person is obviously completely disorganized. it was a waste of time for most of us here. Freelancer is a skam.

  its great to be given the freedom to explore and do what we want... but in most cases here in these contests the client is looking for a "i'll know it when I see it design" and then if they don't find what they want, they then say OH, I want it to look like this.. or that.. and so on.. ultimately the idea of being given the freedom makes for a tonne of work for everyone because there isn't a clear goal in sight.. its just do what we want till the client likes it.. that isn't the way to design.. that's lie shooting fish in a barrel.. anyways.. I won't submit designs here any longer.. freelancer is skamming people left and right and doesn't take responsibility for any of the skamming that goes on here. check out 99 designs if you like contests! higher payouts and reliable service!

  I'm in the art scene for about 6 years ,and i'm well used to criticism, because art, graphics ,visual fields is very competitive, so you need to have a tough skin to be able to survive the pressure being judge all the time...

To all of you,
You have to know how to lose.
I agree with xyzjustyna that you must learn to treat people and not judge a client even if you are not in full agreement with the taste, the important thing is what they need.
To CH,
I agree that some with five stars have no relation with what was in the brief, are just a simply logo for labels and that is a different concept.
Please if you can clarify the concept I can do another option.

  Designers are problem solvers, yes we have to take thinks in to consideration what client wants and follow the brief, but our job is to guide client to better results. Why we o to college, universities, why we getting degrees in graphic design? to help and guide people... So to follow blindly what client wants its not necessary a good thing, and for sure it doesn't make you better designer.

It is going to be ridiculous... Who was working consequently on this project and was get lost or rejected. And it could be that this contest ends without a real/true winner. I would like to pay all of freelancers attention who was working on this project, do not forget all of yours designs are covered under (copyright) intelligent property law, and if someone sees that your idea, your logo, or parts of the logo which was created and published here is your own and was/will be used without your consent, I would be the first who would help you to fill the claim and sue to the court for intelligent properly law and international trading law violations. Goodluck everyone, we will meet in the next contests!

Dear employers, contest holders and colleague freelancers, I want to warn you about Freelancer and their unprofessionalism and lack of respect to all of us.
Please don't report this post as a spam, it's essential for everyone to see what's happening.
As I informed you few days ago, I've won the contest on Freelancer at Saturday, 17.11.12. Contest was guaranteed. Employer transferred money to my account at the same day. Funds were on my account for one day. Day after, at Sunday, suddenly there was no any money on my account.
After 4 or 5 days of tickets, emails and complains Freelancer don't want to admit their mistake and system failure, and they don't want to refund.
Obviously, nothing is guaranteed on this website.
Just type "freelancer scam" on Google and you'll find plenty of similar stories.
After two years my work on this website is done. There's a huge number of alternatives...99designs, Guru, oDesk, Elance...see you there!

  Meni se isto desilo i na oDesku... Dodu?e, na Fixed job-u, za koji oDesk ne garantuje isplatu... dakle, dobije? posao, plate, to po?alje? originalne fajlove i - op, nema kinte! Povuku uplatu... Divota. Nisam pametna kako to izbe?i, osim raditi, raditi i samo raditi, veruju?i da nisu valjda svi prevaranti...

  I ja sam mislio da prevaranata ima samo na ovim prostorima, zato sam se i odlucio za ovakvu vrstu posla, sto dalje od pokvarenjaka i sto manje direktnog kontaka sa ljudima. Ali izgleda tako funkcionise ceo svet, na prevarama. Nisu oni mene kostali samo tih 400 i nesto dolara, to je najmanji problem, necu propasti zbog toga...nego sta dalje, bojim se jednostavno da nastavim ovde, a na drugim sajtovima moram da krecem iz pocetka, ovde sam bar neku kakvu takvu reputaciju gradio i imao. A i nije samo to, evo vec cele nedelje ne mogu da dodjem sebi, ovakav stres ne pamtim kad sam doziveo. Naravno, nikoga od njih nije briga za to.

To all of you,
Some of you state that this contest was a waste of time...well, if designing is a waste of time to you, then why don't you give up on it? I take part in many contests, and sometimes I work on projects for a long time, I do not always win, but I do not say that it was a waste of time, because I can use my ideas and concepts in different contests, besides there are many people who noticed me just because I had taken part in various contests.
some of your comments here are really pathetic, and I must say that I do not get some of you. Because tomek369 is paying for the best (in HIS opinion) project so stop being rude because that might really affect your position not only here but in other potential customers' eyes.

I work as a designer for few years, but even though I didn't like my clients opinions I have never offended them and never said that their opinions were weird, because they would simply never come back to me. Some of you really look like 'freshers' to me and do not know how to behave at all. That's all from me. I wish to those who know how to treat others, all the best and good luck in all contests.
