Logo Design for a New Automotive Protection/Insurance/Warranty Business

I am looking for a logo design for my new automotive protection/insurance/warranty business. The logo should have a modern style but at the same time look like an established brand..

The business name is Parasol (as in the sun umbrella), we then may hav sub brands under then name ie. Parasol Protect, Parasol Insurance, Parasol Pre-pay. so the logo needs to be adept to having the secondary name included/under it. The strapline of the business is likely to be along the lines of "compete cover"

I really like the idea of a parasol incorporated into the design, whether it be in the "o" of parasol or some other way, even potentially using different coloured patterns/options for different sub brands. it is also automotive related.

As a protection type brand it will need to be modern, but also clean, grown up, trust worthy, an air of corporate sensibility, nothing too quirky or childish.

It will appear prestige car brands so needs to sit well alongside things like mercedes, BMW etc.

- Ability to capture the essence of automotive protection/insurance/warranty in a visually appealing way
