Hello

I am about to start a new consulting business for software and technology companies. It will also involve the potential for some small angel investment. I will be helping CEO's and Boards with their strategy, their organisational structures and their processes. It is a one man company and I will therefore need to trade on my own background, skills and achievements.

The company name is Flare Ventures. It is a little bit like www.blackbirdventures.vc and a bit like an advice company like http://hilo.hawaii.edu/~advising/

I need:

1. A new corporate logo
2. Business cards, and
3. A simple website that doesn't have lots of pages or words but that I can easily update by myself without technical help (something like www.blackbird.vc which scrolls down but with more modern look and colour scheme like those at awwwards.com). I am happy with a one page scrolling website like blackbird. The relevant sections would need to be:

1. About Flare - insert photo and words
2. What we do - insert words
3. Experience - insert logos and words
4. Contact us - email is all we need here

On the website I want one large background image with a white logo over the top. The logo should just be words rather than a picture or image. The main words are Flare Ventures. Then underneath the main words is the subtitle Technology Entrepreneurs. I have added a screen shot of a sample site that I love.

As for the background image on the home page, it could be an image like one of the ones below or maybe a nice black and white image of Sydney Harbour in Australia.

The end result will be a new logo, colour scheme, business cards and website that is finished except for the words that I can upload myself

I dont seem to like many logo of flames. I was thinking of just having no logo image at all unless someone can come up with something more abstract made from circles or squares or lines. I will upload a sample to the compettion now

Hi Team. Its a bit difficult to tell whether some of the entries are just the logo or if they are meant to be the website. I will assume that they are just the logo for now. In terms of the website I love the idea of a single page site that scrolls down as per my instructions in the contest. Have a look at the image I uploaded of the man with the flare. I know this is copyrighted and we cant use that image. However, imagine if an image like this filled the screen/business card etc.. with the fonts over the top. Some websites I like include www.visage.co twelvesouth.com trufcreative.com wifeel.com. It doesnt have to have all the animation but just to give you an idea of a large image based background

We seem to be struggling to come up with an abstract logo that I like. Maybe we should forget about the abstract image and just stick with the words. Have a look at the Forest & Bird logo I uploaded with a transparent background. Maybe use the same font but forget about the tree or flame abstract. Just replace "Forest & Bird" with "Flare Ventures" and then the second line with "Technology Entrepreneurs"

I have just uploaded a sample logo and font that i really like. It is white and has a transparent background. Instead of "Forest and Bird" mine could say "Flare Ventures". Instead of "Giving Nature a Voice" it could say "Technology Entrepreneurs". The logo of the tree could be changed to a logo of a flare or flame.

I have just added another image of a computer generated solar flare. Could be useful as an idea for the logo. Maybe just like the www.inournature.co.nz font and logo but replace the tree with a solar flare?

Hi everyone. I found another couple of websites I really like. Have a look at the clean fonts in the logos. They are really professional. http://www.cranialink.com/ and http://www.inournature.org.nz/ The second one has a logo that is all white which is nice. I could definitely see a flare ventures logo that looks like the forest and bird one but instead of a tree a white flame
