We are looking for a very talented and intelligent game designer to join our team!
We are still in the research and development phase of our product, which is a physical box delivered to children aged 7-12 every month containing escape room-style puzzles and games to solve with a continuous narrative.

The core idea is for children to reduce the amount of time they spend staring at their screens and instead be entertained in a productive and entertaining way with our physical product.
If you win this contest you will join us permanently and be expected to grow with us.
Note: The real prize is not the contest money, but instead getting hired as our puzzle master!

CONTEST INSTRUCTIONS:
You must create a game design document for the classic maze but you must modernize it.
Your game must be so good that kids want to play it instead of their video games and phones/tablets!

Must include:
1. A modern twist to the classic maze which you would find in a typical child's activity book.
2. A digital game mechanic that is used somehow to enhance the physical gameplay. The game must still primarily be physical but the app assists the player somehow.
3. A compelling story narrative around the maze. What is the reason the player needs to go through the maze and what are their objectives?
4. It must take the child at least 5-10 minutes to complete the maze and must involve some puzzle-solving.
5. Note, this will just be 1 of roughly 10 different activities in the physical box for one month which will retail for no more than $50. So Keep these constraints in mind.

DELIVERABLE:
Submit a complete Game Design Document (GDD) which contains everything required to actually produce the game. This will include illustrations where necessary to communicate clearly.
