Improve the Ranking of my Homepage on Google

Contest Brief

I launched my new website on September 10, 2014 and would like to improve its ranking on google and other search engines. The website is located at www.welkerandcompany.com. I have been blogging regularly since the launch and will continue doing so. I have six offices and six google plus pages. I post my daily blog posts on each google plus page as well as twitter, facebook, tumblr, and LinkedIn.

I have loaded a sitemap into google websmaster tools already.

I am using Yoast (a wordpress plugin) to help me with SEO in each post. I use meta tags, tags, and alt image text in my blog posts.

My homepage still ranks poorly and is difficult to find even when searching for "Welker and Company" specifically. I want to rank better for the keywords "Welker" and "Welker and Company"

I don't know if I require back links, or not but I am in need of help to improve the site's ranking.

Please provide brief proposals. If things work out there will likely be ongoing work in the future.

I am not interested in promises of ranking which I do not believe. You instantly lose credibility if you promise me a certain ranking. Also, I'm not interested in a monthly fee, just a one time review and fix. I can manage the SEO on an ongoing basis once I understand what I need to do. I don't want anyone else to write blogs for me, especially not individuals who make grammatical mistakes in the first sentence of their pitch.

You are not ranking yet, because ranking in Google is not necessarily about posting quality content like you have been doing only.

It is indeed about backlinking and other social signals.

However, you do not want to take on any type of backlinkings because low quality backlinks will kill your website.

Your on-page SEO needs to be properly optimized also have a good effect on your rankings.
