I have this decent logo with a pillar on top of a couple books. It says what I want but it's kind of boring with very little artistic style. I want something that looks like a logo we can be proud of. Something with style. Again, I very much like the concept of what we have but want it more stylized.

Although I want more style, I want to keep it very simple and it should work well in black and white.

I've attached the current logo.

Asashou u have just copied my logo with ur little amendments, first look what the contest holder have posted and thn make the amendments not by copying the amendment which i had already done.

  Sorry, I wasn't trying to steal your idea.
  I'm just new to all of this, and felt that the amendments would improve the design, but I didn't plan winning the competition stealing someone's ideas.

Yes, we're an experimental school focused on the study of literature. The idea of the logo (a greek pillar resting on a stack of books) is that civilization rests on the ideas embodied in literature. We like the logo but just want to give it some pizzaz while keeping it simple.

  Yes, I'm definitely not satisfied with the logo. I wanted the books and column to have more pizzaz but they are largely untouched. Not sure why not one artist was able to create a nice looking pillar and books.

  yes , i missed ur one msz to me and whn i saw it the submission time was up..so u can do one thing extend the deadline for one more day....so tht u can see more entries and thn decide......:)
