improve a logo for a kid education centre

Contest Brief

My company name is called "Kidology" and it's a education centre for kids from 0 to 6 years old. It emphasize FUN+LEARN+PLAY.

I want a simplied /outline of a giraffe embedded in the text "kidology".

previously I had a designer designed a logo but i'm not completely saitisfied. please see attached.

1. I LIKE how the giraffe legs and lower part of the body are connected to the text "logy"
2. I LIKE how the giraffe face is facing left

PLEASE IMPROVE
1. the giraffe face is ugly. it can be just a giraffe outline but people have to be able to tell it's a giraffe rather than a dog-like animal
2. the color is ugly. I want the logo to be colorful and in pastel color tone (baby color)
3. the font can be more beautiful i think
4. size of the giraffe can be a bit smaller

If you have other idea, feel free to submit though. I am open to more idea.
