Premium Vector Illustrator Needed – Collectible Golf Headcover Design Contest About the Project I'm building a premium collection of collectible golf headcovers and I'm looking for a talented illustrator to become my long-term creative partner. This contest is intended to identify the right artist. If we're a good fit, I have 10–20 additional designs planned in a similar style. I'm not looking for the lowest price—I'm looking for exceptional creativity and illustration quality. The Design Challenge Create a bold, collectible-quality golf headcover inspired by the energy, confidence, humor, and music of the 1970s. The inspiration is Boogie Nights, but I am not looking for a movie poster or an exact actor likeness. Instead, create an original illustration that captures the same attitude, personality, and over-the-top confidence. Think of this as creating a premium collectible rather than fan art. Contest Deliverable For this contest, I am only asking for the FRONT design concept. The winning artist will be hired to complete the matching back artwork and production-ready files. Front Design The hero of the design should be a charismatic 1970s-inspired performer singing into a vintage recording microphone. Include the quote: YOU GOT THE TOUCH YOU GOT THE POWER Beyond those elements, I encourage you to use your own artistic vision. The attached concept is intended to communicate the direction—not dictate the final design. Surprise me. Design Style I'm looking for artwork that is: Premium collectible quality Bold and memorable Fun with lots of personality Comic-inspired (not anime) Clean vector artwork Thick, confident line work Bright, saturated colors Suitable for embroidery and manufacturing Please avoid: AI-looking artwork Generic clip art Stock illustrations Thin line work Gradients Photorealism Brand Design Formula Every headcover in this collection follows the same visual language. Front Hero illustration Memorable quote or phrase integrated into the artwork Back (to be completed after the contest) Upper Back: Circular emblem featuring the same character in a simplified, iconic pose. For this design, envision the performer in a bold karate-style pose. Lower Back: A small themed Easter egg. For this design, it will be a stylized orange 1970s Corvette. The goal is to create a recognizable brand identity while allowing each design to have its own personality. Creative Freedom The attached references communicate my vision, color palette, and overall direction. They are not intended to be copied. I want to see your interpretation. If you have a better pose, stronger composition, more dynamic typography, or a creative visual idea that makes the design more memorable, I'd love to see it. CH, don't go in without knowing this, you're going to get Many HUNDREDS of entries and most will be AI generated, 99% AI. These scammers make no creative effort, they paste your competition details into an image generator, collect the output, and submit it in seconds. No craft, no originality, no skill. Real hand crafted design takes genuine time and human expertise, and the work reflects that. This is why entries will look near identical across the board, AI can only translate your description into an image, with no creative thought at all. REAL DESIGN TAKES TIME, SAMENESS ACROSS ENTRIES MEANS AI. ALSO PLEASE NOTE!!! AI-generated images carry no copyright protection, leaving any third party free to copy and use the design, which could lead to legal disputes over ownership or usage rights down the line.
