Contest Brief

I need a bilingual childrens book illustrated. I need illustrations that would appeal to both Spanish speaking and English speaking kids between 6-10 years old and their parents. I'm looking for a non traditional style that is very colorful and happy. For the contest I would like a 10 yo hispanic girl standing holding her blue bicycle and a 10 yo caucasian boy standing next to his red bicycle. They should be looking at each other as in conversation. The background should be a neighborhood with 2 different houses or condos one Spanish style, one American contemporary style. Also, there are a number of animals in my story. Please include a squirrel and a bird somewhere in the picture. Extra points if you are a bilingual artist. Thanks!

Don't worry about things like special color palettes and number of colors. This is planned for an ebook and we don't have to worry about things like that.

I don't really want to give an example because I'm looking for something new and different and better than my ideas. I'm not an artist. All the objects should have a bright, colorful, happy style. Probably not any pastels.

Doesn't need to be gigantic. Hand drawn - 10"wide x 7.5"high, computer generated 720x540 pixels. Doesn't have to be that exact aspect ratio, it can be square if you want just don't make tiny or gigantic. I want to see your style and ability.
