I need a cover picture for my upcoming Unicorn Kingdom(TM) card game. This picture is not to be a little kids cartoon. It should appeal to adults and teenagers as well as to children. The Unicorn in Unicorn Kingdom(TM) is the Unicorn King.
The most prominent part of the picture will be the Unicorn King. It would be better for him to look forward toward whatever direction his body is facing. He should not be turning his head to look to the side or behind. I would like him partly facing toward the viewer, but not directly toward the viewer so we can see the unicorn from both his front and side. The Unicorn King can be depicted standing in front of his kingdom asserting his rule with the Royal pony standing nearby or the two can be shown playing together. I am open to different types of poses which can depict that. He can have one hoof off the ground. If he has two hoofs off the ground be careful not to overdo it.
The Unicorn King can be decorated with royal ornaments. I do not think a crown would work for a unicorn. Think golden horn. Think something more like a necklace. Picture a big golden belt that is placed around the waist of a boxing champion, only something this is suitable as a necklace for a Unicorn King to be placed around his neck and show on his chest. Gold would be best. If you want you can try some sort of royal looking garment that can be place on his back for a person to sit on to ride, but I am not sure if I will like that.
The background imagery should include sky and land imagery. I would like to see some expansive scenery in the background as well as some up close scenery by the unicorn king.
Close up by the Unicorn King you can have a dove and a butterfly flying around him. The Royal Pony can have some sort of golden royal ornament as well, maybe even some type of low lying golden crown on her head possibly some sort of golden ornaments hanging off? Have the "Fairy Bear"(with fairy wings and fairy dust) reaching up to a tree to grab a shiny golden honey comb, an eagle in the sky by mountains, dragon other side of sky, a group of Archer elves in the forest near the castle, a Wizard walking out from a forest trail on the other side, a monk (google St. Francis of Assisi) with birds flying around him.
In the background expansive scenery I would like to see sky up above with a rainbow (with leprechaun?) and probably some clouds, forest leading back to mountains, and a castle surrounded by forest on one side. The castle should not be on the mountain. It should be in the forest just before or next to the mountain.
It would probably be best for the title "Unicorn Kingdom" to go at the top of the picture in the sky area (possibly surrounded in clouds and beaming sunrays from around it?). You could have some tree leaves around the border of the picture. I am not sure if there would be space for any tree in the close up scenery by the Unicorn King. that might block out the background scenery which I want.
You will come up with a design for the "Unicorn Kingdom" title which will go on the picture where you decide within those parameters. The title should be somewhere on the picture but it must stay 1/2 inch away from any edge (based on 5 inch by 7 inch size) or 1/4 inch away from any edge (based on 2.5 inch by 3.5 inch size). Any important part of the picture should also stay those same distances away from the edges.
Choose one of the 4 corners (probably lower left to save a small square spacefor a logo which will be provided to you if you are hired for the job. In the meantime fill that square space with non essential background imagery. So the dimensions will need to work for a card that is 2.5 inches wide by 3.5 inches high. That is considered "poker size". You could also think of it as 5 inches wide by 7 inches high. This picture should be good for uploading to display on a website as well as good for printing onto a playing card.
Thank you for your submissions.
