I have a client who wants to create a series of children's stories and then turn them into an ipad application. There are ten stories in total, each story containing approximately ten frames (so 100 frames in total).

This contest is to illustrate a single frame (sketch attached) in the style provided (again, attached). The preferred entry will then be given the job of completing all story artwork (100 frames). The budget for the full project is $6,000.

Entries should be high resolution (2048 x 1536).

Are you still taking entries? I've only just seen your message from a week ago. I'd love to give it another go if you aren't happy with my previous submission but could you give me some specific feedback? I saw you say the other entries have been too literaly, is that because some people copied the style of the sketch instead of the style reference or would you prefer an illustrator who changed the layout and composition of the sketch instead of following it so closely?

Yes, you can submit more entries. My recommendation is to ignore the initial sketch as it is very ugly - I apologize to anybody who simply coloured the initial image but we are looking for an illustrator to take the initial image and develop it further, mixing their own interpretation with the provided style reference. Thanks

I need an original illustration based on the concept of a boy stepping on an ant, and the girl rushing to stop it happening. Most of the entries have been too literal, and nobody has actually replicated the style reference accurately enough.

Do you need an original illustration, of an original Idea. Or just a conversion of the attached file into an Illustration.
