We are releasing a new version of a plugin and would like to have a new UI drawn. I'm attaching the previous skins, and a raw layout of how the new plugin should be (both plugin and Librarian integrated in hideable panes).

The contest is to prepare some nice graphics for this new plugin. It needs not be absolutely final, but give a clear idea of how the final thing will look. We'll give additional $100 for the finalization part to whoever is selected.

We want the plugin to look modern, but have a little "Indian" touch as well.

UPDATE:

I have now uploaded a new image called "new layout with controls" that gives the final sizes of the UI, along with the controls that will be there. It's of course raw (as the whole aim of this contest is to give it a nice skin), but you will have a better idea of the final product.

Regarding colour schemes, we usually are in the earthy colours like brown, maroon, orange, beige, black, etc... So we wouldn't expect a green, purple or blue background, but aren't against some creativity as far as small parts of the UI are concerned.

We have cut and paste parts of the old layout, so don't try to keep that on purpose;-) The instrument image should keep the same size (because we have all our images formatted that way), but the embossing around can (should, actually) be changed.

VST (Visual Studio Technology) graphics try to simulate real-life devices. If you want some ideas, you can look at: http://www.apple.com/fr/logicpro/mainstage/

We want something that looks pro, but keeping some Indian touch.

So you basically need only the layout you sketched to be designed ? What color scheme would you like ?

  Not fixed at the moment. Size of the plugin part (top left pane) should be sufficient to include all current controls/windows (see original plugin). Size of Librarian part (right and bottom panels) should be resizable. Therefore it's important that any frame around these 2 panels should end in a plain colour, so that it can be resized.
  Anyway, this can be discussed later.
