Heroes art for a Fantasy Board Game

Contest Brief

We need an art for creature hero cards for a fantasy game.

The purpose of this contest is to find out an artist to continue working with on a regular basis in order to create a full list basic list of characters (10 more).

Terms of winning:
1) All entries shall consist of 2 character images (we need to be sure that you can keep the same line in multiple images).
2) Final images shall be both in pixels and vector.
3) Character shall be full sized with background with an option to use the image partly or move it to sides within card frame, cut partly etc.
4) Pixel art in PSD with separate background to be able to cut the char off the backgrouns if needed (big initial size of image)

Art details:
1) You choose a style for your character yourself and we do not limit your freedom. It can be comic, anime or classic highly realistic fantasy art or any other way you see it.
2) General concept is fantasy
3) Card's general colors shall be kept on art.

Char information:
1) Card 1 is a green treefolk character that is related with nature, defence.
2) Card 2 is a blue creature (ashore) Ctulhu like with lots of tentacles, related with sea, agression

Some ideas you can get out of images attached but we dont comment anything so you could use the most out of your imagination.

You may post unfinished scketches before you get selected as winner and shape them up by handover, but its for the background and details, the detalization of characters shall be close to final so we could get the idea.

The owner of first images that we would like to lick and posses gets the prize and the rest of order.

    Im out! Im not a typical digitalartist anyway....Im a traditional airbrushartist so I would wanna work that way for this Project for cooler effects such as smoke, fire, sea and woodtexture....but its been intresting following all this Amazing digital conceptartists.

    Do you know that every rejection gives negative points to freelancer account? I would participate more in your contest but I don't want to risk negative points. You don't have to reject entry , simple don't give a star.You would probably have many more entries but people hesitate when see so many rejections . They don't want negative points. Best regards!

      Ehm, tbh i didnt have that many projects around and usually always rejected so people who do not fit will get that clearly and wont waste time.

    IMPORTANT! We will choose the artist that gets the job friday night or saturday by afternoon. We will choose between all 4 starred artists that provides both sketches on the task with minimal colors. #9 and #16 are perfect examples of our vision and your have to match them if you want to be there on saturday!

    #14 Need character not to blocked by background objects so they could be cut and used elsewhere if needed. Human/elves/treefolk shall have visible differences.

    #11 Green one is definately what we dont want to see. Way too childish, while we want art to be for grownups.Blue one is nice.

    #9 and #8 are nice ones and and defintaely the way we want to see it. #8 however need more colors and details to get the idea of artists vision.

    #10 The quality of the character is good but we definately dont want the argressive such sexuality and rather prefer more fantasy/realistic details in armor and characters outlook...

      mean if you looka t image from afar you dont see the char clearly as color gammas are both gloom for bg and human being

    Hello! I have a question about your details. "2) Final images shall be both in pixels and vector." Does that qualification mean that we need to have vector and pixel versions of our artwork, or that either vector OR pixel artwork will be accepted?
