We had this posted but all of the entries started to take the same shape, we need something UNIQUE! Would like to see some different approaches to our web app Slip Beacon and have attached an idea concept board
But first lets tell you a bit more about Slip Beacon.

1. Slip Beacon is a boat parking app, like a car parking app only for boats

What is a boat slip?

A slip is not as open as a dock. A slip is outlined by a pier on each side of the boat, unlike the dock, which has a pier on one side only. A slip can also serve multiple vessels within a single area, the shore-sides of which are lined with piers. The essential characteristic of a slip is that it's open on one end only, bounded by land or piers, which shelter the vessels in the slip on three sides to break up swells entering the harbor or marina.

What is a beacon?

help guide navigators to their destinations. Types of navigational beacons include radar reflectors, radio beacons, sonic and visual signals. Visual beacons range from small, single-pile structures to large lighthouses or light stations and can be located on land or on water.

What is a marina?
A marina (from Spanish, Portuguese and Italian marina, "coast" or "shore") is a dock or basin with moorings and supplies for yachts and small boats. A marina differs from a port in that a marina does not handle large passenger ships or cargo from freighters. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marina

What is a boat cleat?
Shaped piece of metal or wood on a boat or ship, to which ropes are attached. In nautical contexts, a cleat is a device for securing a rope. All boats tied their boats onto a boat cleat which is attached to the dock. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleat_%28nautical%29

Purpose:

This mobile app allows people with boats to find a boat slip around them via a mobile device. They rent the boat for a period of time usually a night or two but sometimes just a matter of hours. They can use this if they are out on a lake or ocean and are looking for a rental slip or are driving into town towing their boat. The app shows boat "parking slips" around them via a map pint point.

We have attached 1 .psd for concept generation ideas for you to use. You may submit as many design as you would like provided you are making progress on our feedback. Our feedback will be quick and detailed. PLEASE ASK US ANY QUESTIONS YOU LIKE.
