Find royalty free music sounding like Norah Jones - Sunrise

  • Status: Closed
  • Prize: $40
  • Entries Received: 13
  • Winner: prateek4sep

Contest Brief

I need help to find a royalty free, instrumental piece of music that gives an impression and feeling that is as close as possible to an instrumental version of Norah Jones - Sunrise. Proximity to the tempo and character of the music is more important than which instruments that are used. The track needs to be 2 minutes 30 seconds or longer.

By royalty free I mean a piece of music for which it is possible to purchase the right to use it in a couple of slideshows/videos for a one-time fee, without any additional fees when the slideshow/video is published online (like on Youtube or Vimeo) or viewed. The purchase price should preferably be around or below USD 300.

Each submission should include a link to a web page stating the price of the piece of music and with the possibility of trial listening. If this is not possible as a direct link, then please include in the submission clear directions on how to find the price and the trial audio file/stream.

DaniBreezer, since you have pulled me in to this... dude If you seriously have worked over this.. U might have known that Aretha Franklin was the toughest to find... Well FYI I went through more than 150 tracks and devoted 1 full for that... You need to understand the requirement of the client.. Everyone here works hard, never think you are the only one whose working hard... There are people who might be more passionate and hard working than either of us.. Rest up to you, I don't want to react much over your jealousy and frustration..

I never said I worked harder than anyone else in these contests. I have nothing against you. The misunderstanding was between me and waldenwoods and it has been solved. My mistake was to accuse waldenwoods of cheating instead of explaining my thoughts on the Aretha Franklin contest first, in which he was really understanding and that's why he decided to generously(hats off..as you said) solve this matter. And congrats to you for winning all 3 contests.

Too many weird things happened..You always left feedback with comments in your ratings but not at the last ones(of the 2 contests in which I participated) which happened to be the 2 winning ones. What happened to feedback ? On the other hand your comments on my entries were more than positive(at least more than the others, especially for the other contest of the "Aretha Franklin" song, in which the WINNING ONE IS NOT EVEN CLOSE)...And do not get me wrong, I did not want the prize that much, and I would congratulate anyone who would deservedly win myself, but the same person in all 3 contests ?? ..and why did it take you so much time to announce ?? and that person so desperately waiting for the results ?? Too many things my friend make this all very suspicious..Anyway, thank god I did not spend that much time on these projects...I cannot prove and I am not 100% sure that you cheated but this leaves me a very bad taste..and I believe in Karma :D

"So I do not give the extra reward in order to compensate for efforts". Thinking of this, you are completely right, this is the risk of participating in contests after all.

I have now managed to borrow a headset and listened to the Aretha Franklin entries again. See my post at that contest.

I hope that everyone is now happy with the outcome and feel fairly treated, which has been my intention all along.

Yes Yes Yes ... prateek4sep was desperately waiting for the results LOL, waldenwoods thank you for being so fair.. It was looking "strange" after the first days, but you could have at least given 1 out of 3 to a real person..just for not making it so obvious.

Or do I misunderstand you, DaniBreezer? What is it that is "obvious"? Again, I do not fully understand your comment, but I understand you feel badly treated. Please let me know how I can change that.

Thank you all for really good submissions!

A winner has now been selected. Congratulations to prateek4sep for succeeding in winning all of my three audio contests!

Next time I need a similar item, I will consider a newly composed song, as suggested by several freelancers. Thank you.

What a shame to waste so many producers and songwriters from freelancer, we can compose a new song perfeclty for you.

I can get it done for you within 48 hours! Should not talk long to compose a similar instrumental for you. That Norah Jones song is fairly simple so a recreation or similar style will not be difficult. It would cost more then 40$ for studio time though.

"Each submission should include a link to a web page stating the price of the piece of music and with the possibility of trial listening." Really?

Yes, assuming of course that the music in question is available on a "stock music" web site, and that it is possible to link (e.g. copy the URL) directly to that song. Did you read it as a request to create a wep page, or what?

If you need/prefer to convey the similar information another way, feel free to do so. Which is, by the way, already stated in the brief: "If this is not possible as a direct link, then please include in the submission clear directions on how to find the price and the trial audio file/stream."
