IMPORTANT: This is an IDEA contest... If you want to submit designs, that's great... but I'm also happy if you submit ideas / wireframes / etc. I'll hire the winning idea(s) to actually complete the final design.

The entry point to my site is simple a search engine:

search for something like "business consulting" or "online marketing".

When you click "search" it'll scroll down and show the results - which is a standard slider of images and text.

So there's 2 pages (well, 2 'states' that I need ideas on... the search, and the results).

I need a better design... but not just a nicer design... a better USER EXPERIENCE. Something ultra-cool, different. I think the site is already 'different'... but it's not as good as I think it can be.

The search page can not change in terms of it's concept / structure. It must focus on the search, and the whole site must revolve around the search. So... no boring, standard things like "menu bars". I'll actually be removing the "browse" button as that's an unwanted distraction.

I want the idea of a carrot flying through the sky. So I like the clouds theme and will want the clouds concept to remain as part of the design.

Get REALLY creative - be quirky... be wacky... do something different.

The design should avoid boxes (I want an open, free UX), and you should avoid any design that looks like a wordpress template.

Perhaps my site needs 1 - 3 examples of the general things I do, just like the above site does? Maybe that'd help tell people I'm a "creative business consultant".

I like the idea of having a "how are you feeling today?" option. If they select "worried" then storm clouds come in. If they select "silly", then the carrot dances. Any other interactive ideas?

Maybe I can have a few cloud images, changing every x seconds?

Perhaps the image slider shouldn't show one image at a time? Perhaps when they do a search and the clouds appear (category clouds), maybe hovering the mouse over a cloud pops open 6 thumbnails of the first 6 images in the slider. This way the user can see examples of my work without having to click one-by-one through the image slider?

I'm out of ideas! lol

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT ME / THIS PROJECT:
I do a LOT of stuff... I code, I design, I've run and sold companies, I'm a tech nerd, I've set up factories in China, etc, etc.

I want people to go to my site and be amazed at all the experiences I've had in my life, and all the excellent results I've achieved for my own businesses and for others.

The easy answer is to get a cool looking, responsive wordpress 'folio' theme and I'm done. But that's not me, it's not how I consult, and I would hate to have a 'normal' looking website. I'm busy anyway - I actually don't need extra work.

So why have a website? Because when I want to impress someone with my folio, I want someone to see my site and think, "hell, that's unique... and cool... and this guy is not your normal 'consultant'."

So I made my site where you just search for something you're needing done and it'll display a folio of items that are relevant to your search term.

Usually, I direct people to my site so they know what to expect... but how can I make this "search" concept better / awesome so people who land on my site will 1) love it and 2) understand how it works?
