ELITE: UK DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

We are looking to create a logo for a new business venture. The venture is a dance competition that will be held in holiday parks throughout the country. The name of the competition is "Elite: UK Dance Championships" (please do not include the colon in any designs!!). We want the "Elite" to be the primary graphic on the logo with the "UK Dance Championships" as a sub-graphic below. The colour scheme is not crucial but we want something that is visually appealing and can be used on merchandise (t-shirts, hoodies etc.) and other documentation (letterheads, business cards, advertising material etc.)

The event has an olympic style format so any olympic themes can be incorporated into the design (without breaching any intellectual property rights) is recommended. However, we are quite flexible with the design and we are fairly open-minded to the styling and aesthetics. That said, the design should be modern as we have a young demographic. The competition caters to all styles of dance so please do not make the design too commercial or "street" because that is not what we are looking for; something simple but striking is what we are after.

The title should be underneath - Elite on one line and Dance Championships UK on the bottom.

Here is a little more guidance to help you. We have had a few more ideas. We want to incorporate a pyramid of rings ( colourful). With a white silhouette dance image in the top ring ( not stock images). The bottom three rings of the pyramid should have the abbreviation E D C

Feedback for all. Ideally would like a dance image incorporated ( however seeing a lot of stock images) if these can be used in a more creative way then that is fine. The design must include "Elite" as the main heading and the words UK dance Championships.
