I need help/advice in finding the best method for drawing floormaps or technical drawing from scanned image/pdf into powerpoint.
I normally have it drawn using freeform, lines and other powerpoint objects, but these are pretty time consuming and the quality may not be good enough

Is there any other way/suggestion to get this re-drawn in powerpoint. Might be i can also use some other application but need to be able to paste into powerpoint in an editable/ungroupable format, so that i can do any further slight modification if required

when you mean autocad, cud it be done by first time user with no experience ?

  in auto mode with raster image you ANY soft DO not Trace!!!! Only handheld
  trace. if image is vector than that is programs to autotrace

  yes, i do have Acrobat XI which helps me in exporting to PPT if being in PDF
