Contest Brief

We need a name and logo for our new company.

With our platform, kid’s use of their "flat screen" time will be enhanced by limiting access to certain types of applications (on smartphones, tablets, computers, game consoles, etc.) based on their parent’s values and a customizable schedule. For example, there may be no violent game play ever, and no game play of any type while at school. And, “Reward Minutes” can be earned and lost based on the child's behavior.

The goal is to drive kids to make better decisions of how they spend their time with their devices. And to empower their parents with the knowledge that their values are being reinforced.

We are working with partners on an international level.

If we are happy with the work we select, the winner will be invited to submit proposals for the full set of collateral material, including printed material, web icons and identity material, and support material for video products.

Hello, one additional question for you. Are you looking for an app name specific to the functionality that you have described, or a company name that will be slightly more general as to the aims of this launch product, but something that would allow for future expansion of other applications/platforms? I guess I want to know if the name we come up with is too specific to this service, will the company need a new name later on when hopefully there are more products and services being offered? Thanks

We are offering a subscription service. Target subscriber is the parent. We suspect the kids won't be too happy with our platform as it will restrict their usage and expose their behavior to their parents.

Target age for kids: 5-17.

Hello, thank you for your clarification. I would also like to know more about your aims as a company. Are you interested in being seen as a formal corporation (serious/elegant/clean) or is some humor ok (clever names/puns/upbeat/more colorful)? It will help with generating name ideas and the identity in general. Thanks!

Several of the entries we have been getting are oriented too much towards kids that are too young. Think about the age of kids using smartphones and spending their days indoors playing video games. That behavior starts around 6 and continues until they move out of the house. Hope this thought helps.
