Rosa Miniatures and Games has been commissioned to produce a game that will feature Steam Automatons (robots) set in the Victorian Age. Think HG Wells and Jules Verne" steam engines, pistons and gears. We are looking for three very different models / concepts and will award three prizes. The contest here is for a bipedal walker (with legs). All models need to fit on a 45mm diameter base and be no taller that 65mm. Selected models will need to be meet 3D production standards (I would read Shapeways guidelines) and be delivered in a STL file (production) and a rendering (for advertising).

I have added a file to provide some context. The image is from a Victorian publication and is intended only as an inspiration.

There has been some question as to what an Automaton is. This term was used to describe "robots" run using analog computers. I have attached to concepts: one from the 1890's Sci-Fi book and the other a scratch built model.

The purpose of this contest is for me to evaluate artist for a future bid on large number of Automatons

i am really glad you like and choose my design . this was a concept and i am gonna
need one day to make the character ready and cheaper for print.
i will deliver with the given dimension in the brief . if there is any changes on size or
if you want any changes on design please send me a message.

i will handover STL and other file types in the next 36 hours .

We are having a very vigorous debate here. The author of the game is AWOL.

The game has a number of different type and levels of Automatons: There are "humanoid" scouts and heavy war machines that is why I left the contest open. In addition I have another Steam Punk game by a different author and he has very strong opinions. Machine in his game would be manned vehicles.

Hi there . it would have been wonderful if there was more information abouth the design aside from the steampunk theme. Things like should the character look big or small, mean or cute. big mechanic blocks or more like a person . But i guess this comes after the contest. Hope you like my design, with little more info i would create beautiful printable models. plus i really really need a job and i would try extra hard

Your model is to be done right? Description is not clear enough, there are no conceptual diagram? Or refer to the diagram will do. Model also need to bind it?

I will need a STL file after the award, but a rendering will suffice for the contest award. I am looking for concepts the author of the game has given me little feedback on designs.
