Contest Brief

I am happy to award a winner based on a good design of 1 page, and work in private on the others !

Here is a file containing immediate and easy to view areas of the existing design that need adding or improving.

Firstly - This is a pure design project based on an existing complete website, there is no designing from the ground up or any coding at all. All work to be done in your preferred design application. Targeting updating menu, product description, and add to cart features would be a good start. Your half way there already !

Secondly I don't any one to come out with a new design from scratch for this. Take screen shots from autokicker.com, of the header, footer and other areas or the whole page and place them in illustrator or your preferred application and modernise and add elements. Please read below.

This project is for the redesign 4 updating, reworking of pages of autokicker.com using illustrator or your chosen application. There is no coding, html or anything else involved in this project. It is pure design.

2) Product Page
3) Product browsing category page
4) Blog page

We are really happy with our website located at autokicker.com, its how we like it, clean simple, minimal, and without bloat. We like the colours, the clear images, and the simplistic product focused look and feel. But it has started to look a little dated, and it is not responsive, we would also like to add ecommerce features.
We would be happy to keep the same layout, but more importantly we want to keep the same clean look. We would perhaps like some elements of asos.com or originalpenguin .co.uk for a little more ecommerce feel, But we do not want to over do it. We essentially want this to remain a manufacturer website.

1) For the home page, a clean simple banner based looked, like a lesser version of asos.com or orginalpenguin.co.uk or layout to remain as is.

2) For the product page. We would like to keep the images sizes how they are but add zoom. We will need to add cross out pricing. I.E

Price £34.99
Save £5.00 (10%)

For the add to cart - Yellow, orange, blue or similar would be a great colour for this.

The product section will have 3 sections

Description , quick over view and more information.

The product upsell area could also be improved and modernised.

3) For this we would need to add, ecommerce features like View, add to favourites or add to cart etc

4) Finally the blog, This would have the same header and footer as all the other pages, and will be done in WordPress. You will only need to show how the posts will look, and how the blog is navigated. Through menus and submenus for example. We don’t want anything to flashy just clean and simple.
Overall you will design around the existing design, taking ecommerce features from sites such as asos.com or clean designs like orginalpenguin.co.uk etc. Modernising the appearance, by improving the look of the menu to mega menu or similar, perhaps updating fonts.

• You can take take any sections of our existing website and copy them into your chosen illustration app.

• The winner will need to deliver the layout in layered PSD or AI file, to cut for magneto, wordpress, html etc.

• Please do not spend loads of time making banners and or other parts, just use the ones already on the site or use a generic image. These wont be used on the live site. But we will get your idea ! You have permission to use any content on the site for the purpose of this project.

• Your focus should be on adding ecommerce features , modernising and bringing up the standard of the site.

I understanding adding the add to cart and pricing maybe be difficult, I have uploaded my ideas !

    I dont care if you steal your ideas from a theme, As long as you name the theme and show how theme will be edited or contents work inside the theme.
