My company name is Crider-McMahon Incorporated. It is a small corporation that owns several individual, small companies.

I have attached a Word document that has my name in Calibri font with the general layout I want. I am most interested in adding an original, abstract icon that can be combined with the name, but could also stand alone as a favicon.

Here are additional requirements, variations, and information:
1, You can change the font (style and color) of the company name. I don't have access to a lot of fonts, so I just chose the one that looked the nicest of my limited choices. I do think a better choice of font could be made by someone with design experience. If you change the font (style or color):
(1a) I want it to be masculine.
(1b) If you want to try to radically change what I have, I'm not opposed to that, but I'm fine with the general style. Use creativity on the abstract icon.
2. I prefer an abstract icon, because the businesses owned by my corporation are not just in one industry.
3. If you want to try to incorporate the initials CMI into the logo you can, but it is not necessary.
4. I prefer the icon be located to the left of the name, but I'm not opposed to entertaining variation: above, below, surrounding, etc.
5. Needs to be original.
6. Needs to be scalable vector format.
7. I'd like to see examples of the logo on a glass wall, letterhead or business card, and with light or dark background as if it is on a webpage.
8. Needs to delivered as a combination of logo/icon and also as a separate icon only.

The icon should try to convey one or more of the following:
1. strength / power
2. precision
3. variety
4. creativity
5. current/modern
6. advanced
7. substance
