Contest Brief

Hi all,

We are after a clean, modern, flat logo for our business, creating custom art products for businesses and individuals. The style should be typographic however a supporting icon would also be welcome. Colours are not important as the winner will be supplied the branding palette. Black and white would be ok for now. The winning bid will adjust their logo to our colours and provide .psd files at the end of the project.

The winner of this competition will be asked to complete the logo based off their initial design. The winner will also later be asked in a separate project to complete our business card designs and marketing material we need. Whomever wins will be completing the whole branding package, not just the logo - keep this in mind.

No, we have NOT sealed the bids. If you truly wish to keep your design private mention this in your comments and we will message you - you can send us a private link which we will not share.

Please see attachment for our OLD logo. The business name is the same and important. the secondary line is also the same but if not used this is ok.

A typography logo should be dynamic, using the same font for both words exactly with the same shape "P" etc is really not good enough - selecting a font, typing and adding an icon isn't enough. Each should be a little different, work together in harmony but definitely not be a perfect copy.

The icon should be professional, flat and represent what we do, our own icon was ok for this with the variety of colours around a circle (we sell internationally - global). Perhaps this could be improved upon? Up to you. However it must reflect who we are and what we do.

  Darren040...the basic reason that you didn't get your required one is your budget for the contest...in this limited budget I think you get quite reasonable entries...best of luck for the winner...:)

Hi all

Just to be clear, we are after a typographical logo with or without an icon (preference to icon though).

The lettering itself should be part of the design, not simply a font. Examples here (1st search result, not as a design guide, simply to demonstrate typography concepts)

Hello all

Some great submissions so far, we have reviewed each one with stars and comments.

1 star unfortunately means the design does not suit our needs
2 stars means it has some ok elements but needs works
3 stars much the same but getting closer
4 stars is very close to what we had in mind but needs more work before we would select this design
5 stars = excellent entry and we will consider it VERY carefully as a winner and our designer for future work.
