Contest Brief

we are an apparel company in need of a new T-Shirt design for a private label line.
the brand is called LOW COUNTRY.
We will need a logo to appear on the front pocket and then a larger graphic on the back of the shirt.

LOW COUNTRY LOGO to be on front pocket

This will be used primarily on the front chest pocket.
The graphic should be about 3.0W x 3.0”H
should be 1-2 colors and will be re-color to match the shirt color and related backof t-shirt graphic.
we would like to be able to Low Country, your choice of words could be “Classics”, “Oufitters”, “cotton” or “flied & stream” to market the graphic collection.

we need to design a logo to represent LOW COUNTRY. Examples could be a tire swing, or Spanish moss tree, or marsh scene or old wooden dock or back road image.

We also need a tagline like “a back road apparel co.”

LOW COUNTRY BACK of T-SHIRT DESIGN

I would like the back of the t shirts graphics to be these dimensions. (11.0 width x 11 height)

1-in the 7-10 color range. similar to the Dog reference. (illustrated)
ground color for this graphic is PMS 325C.

we will want all the graphic print ready. vector art files and/or photoshop.

colors separated. called out/pitched.

fonts included and/or outlined. Please see the attached image. There will be our logo (which you will create) on the front pocket and then an illustration of the dog on the back. We want to stay as close as we can for the attached T-shirt design, without actually 'copying'

Well that was an interesting adventure :) I've never Tried to copy someone else's work before lol it kind of goes against the artist in me, the harder I tried the worse it got :p , good luck everyone have fun!! I hope we get to see the winning piece

  Nelejake. thanks for your time and effort. these are ongoing brands and graphic looks for us. The reason that I asked you to emulate the reference artwork was to see if you were capable of duplicating the style and techniques. we want to have graphic consistency from shirt to shirt and season to season. once I have the artists that can capture the looks and feels we want, we will proceed with projects that require "original" art and execution. as noted we do 8-12 new designs every couple of months.

logo element does not need to be jsut the Southern Live Oak with Spanish moss hanging from it. can be old wooden dock, rocking chair, palemetto. mason jar with sweet tee. we just want to covey the look and feel of the low country. which is the southern united states. its more country. dirt roads. slower pace of life.

Hi! Thank you for the invite... I am honored but unfortunately, I have to decline for I don't do contests as I prefer to stick to straight forward projects where both the pay is direct and work is focused with close contact/ direct feedback between designer and client...   this is an ongoing screen printed apparel program. Im looking to find an artist(s) that can create the same style and feel as the reference artwork for the Low Country brand. this is just (2) designs to find the right partners. the program will consist of 8-12 similar t-shirt graphics every 3 months and will be some incremental needs included.
