Hello Freelancers!

I am looking for talented artists to help me create a buzz about my Hard Cider brand by designing a T-Shirt for upcoming promotions.

The "Mike Hawkins Cider" T-Shirt design I am aiming to conjure would be Artistic and Classy, "a work of art" that might be admired hanging on a wall in a popular Nightclub, Lounge, or Speakeasy... As a graphic designer, something that would catch your eye on the street, make you pause, smile, and appreciate the design...

The dry cider recipes I have been working on will range from Bourbon Barrel Aged, to Habenero, to Cranberry Rhubarb... Some can be enjoyed like a champagne, others like a good craft beer... paired with food or cheese, or made into a premium cocktail by your favorite mixologist. They are handmade, artisanal, small batch ciders, made with locally sourced apples, and are naturally gluten free.

** I was originally thinking about using a service such as Spreadshirt to fulfill printing, however they may not accommodate some of the designs submitted. For example, designs that cover the entire T-Shirt or have non-standard placement on front / back or sleeve. I am open to suggestions for printers that would be able to print your design.

If you have a rough concept you would like to submit, I feel I am very good at giving very descriptive feedback to help guide the process. That way you can invest minimal time up front to get started. I am willing to compensate for really good designs and will need several for a line of "Mike Hawkins Cider" TShirts. Therefore, if you submit something and it does not win "this" contest, I will message you and will likely hire you for the next round.

To get the ball rolling... I would like to emphasize the double entendre. Say "Mike Hawkins Cider" 3 times fast...got it? ...good :) ....and definitely want the name to be easily seen...with possible tag lines such as "100% Natural" or "Real. Hard. Cider" (something that fits with the design) I was hoping to ease a bit of sexual nuance into the design that way too.

The imagery of the "original sin" (Adam, Eve, the Serpent) plays nicely into this theme....Eve tempting Adam with an apple or some hard cider in a champagne glass or bottle... and the Serpent possibly in an apple tree dangling overhead, is a possible route. I think I would like to have a female character or figure present. (Could possibly dress a model in the style of this character for future promotions...??)

Include any variation of the following: apple or apple tree (I am Irish, so the celtic tree of life with apples is appealing), bottle of Hard Cider, champagne or wine glass with cider.

I have also been drawn to a "Fantasy Art" concept (Deviant Art, or Grimms Fairy Tales... http://toolkitten.deviantart.com/art/Grimm-50-164329051 ) that may include a strong female, Valkyrie or Warrior Princess (??) riding the back of a giant hawk (to tie into the name too), I think the imagery here will appeal to the demographic, but not sure how to tie this into the overall "cider" theme...

Hi, it is very hard to start working with this brief. We need some visual reference, give us few images you like so that we know a starting point. It is unappealing to invest hours into design only to see it discarded.

  @akazuk Should I be deciding the kind of printing first, or would the design dictate the type of printing needed? I was under the impression that an AI (Illustrator file) could be manipulated to suit the type of printing.
