Contest Brief

I need a logo for my info tech business named 'Timotech'
We mainly do software and programming, info system design and implementation.
I need 2 versions:
1) a graphic to the left and text to the right, so it will fit in the header/navigation at the top of a website (like freelancer.com)
2) larger version suited for splash screen

Theme
I'd like a theme based around these sort of concepts:
space, futuristic, technology, law enforcement/military (star trek), security, robots, databases, network/internet

Logo message
the logo should give a feel of ambitiousness, bold, epic

This will be placed on a dark background
I have attached some random images I found while looking for inspiration.
I found the hexagonal shapes from crysis quite appealing

  its a really good one. i like the metallic. the gradient gets a little too dark in places

2 things - 1) only use fonts/graphics which are original or free for commercial use 2) the letters should be recognisable, some have replaced the 'o' but then its not clear that its an 'o' anymore
