This contest is for the design of a new logo for an automotive interior (a.k.a. upholstery) repair/replacement & custom shop.

Company Profile

Name: Broward Tops & Interiors
Abbreviation: BTI
Note: Broward refers to the county (Broward County, FL); Tops and Interiors refers to Convertible "Tops" and auto "interiors".

Colors: Primary Color is basically 'Cerulean', although similar shades will be accepted (lean more toward blue than green).
Secondary Colors are: Black & Yellow, although designs featuring Silver/Gray and Black will be considered.

The company's name is somewhat generic and has caused confusion in the past, so an automotive theme/motif will need to be included.
The business serves both insurance companies & dealerships as well as the general public, so a broad, professional appeal is needed.
Clients preferences are to appeal to exotic car owners (e.g. ferarri) and/or Classic/muscle car owners, though this is not a strict requirement as long as the automotive theme is visible.

Logo will be used on business cards, websites, marketing materials, and signs so ease of printing and a CYMK color compatibility would be helpful.
Vector files will be needed for final submission, compatible with the Inkscape program (SVG Preferred)

Many designs are copies of clip arts that already exists: http://goo.gl/LdJMi2 all that you see 2 times from different authors are clip arts - extremely don't advice for your client - no author rights and probably problems in future

I apologize for the extension. I really hoped to pick a winner by now but the Client has been very busy and unable to review all of the entries. I have been calling the client and trying to get him to review but he has not had the time yet. Luckily, the prize increased with each extension. I appreciate your patience.

The contest has been extended a few days while the client decides. I think we have narrowed down the design to the styles people have been submitting most recently. I will try to get more feedback ASAP to tweak the final design.

After seeing all of the submissions, while there are some very good entries, I see many people are struggling to get the auto theme working. Feel free to experiment and submit original designs, even without the auto theme. We would love to see what you can come up with.

Many of the logo submissions have simply been text + clip art. The ideal logo would either have a great, unique logo and clean, stylized text OR a logo with automotive stylized typography. Also, the BTI abbreviation is OPTIONAL as is the full 'Broward Tops' name. A good logo should have one or the other. Both are not needed.

# 1AB4ED is close to the existing color, somewhat lighter than standard cerulean.
