Design a Logo for "Silicon Beach" forum & event brand

"Silicon Beach" is a non-profit forum that brings together like-minded coders, entrepreneurs and geeks interested in doing what Silicon Valley & Alley do but in a naturally much more balancing settings: on the Costa Rica beach with view of sunsets over the ocean and jungle around you, with healthy breaks of riding the ATV on a dirt road, dropping in on a wave for a quick surf session or taking a mind and body relaxing yoga class. We need a simple, clean and timeless logo that fits the image. The logo should include the text as well as the recognizable visual element(s).

Following review and getting a few outsider opinions I uploaded some samples that may serve as additional inspirations. I'd like you to think outside the box so we can come up with something timeless, simple and unique! I will respond individually where possible, thank you!

here some feedback: i like the infinity loop where the S is visible with good contrast. it should not be 3D though. i still think there might be some additional good ideas and creativity out there. simple nuances that indicate a flow or wave or sand may be cool, but it needs to be simplistic, not too much detail visible like in #10 or #26 /27. let's try!!! thank you all so far already!
