Contest Brief

We are looking for a “Logo and a tag line” for Rockbridge Partners Pty Ltd

Rockbridge Partners consist of a group of experienced mining executives who are able to provide detailed financial, and technical evaluations as well as strategic advice on mining projects, from early stage exploration through resource development and operations. We aim to provide a level of opinion not available from most mining consultancy’s due to our unique combination of skills and depth of experience.

The graphic should have clean lines (no photos / images) that promote the business as credible / reputable consultancy, which would be appealing to members of the broking, banking/finance industry. It should appeal to a range of cultures (Asian, Indian, European, American).

The tag line should complement the logo and reinforce the skills described above. We reserve the right to use any tag lines that are suggested during the competition, whether from the wining designer or not, or come up with derivations or variations of these. By submitting a design you agree that you accept this condition.

We are looking for a graphic design that is fresh, novel & innovative – but most importantly unique. As such any posts which use or rehash previous company logos will be automatically excluded.

Not an expert on file formats, but would like .png as a minimum so I can use it in powerpoint etc. Beyond that anything suitable for a printer.

Just as feed back also, I would prefer just to see the straight logo for now, white backgrounds. The visualisations (buildings, letter heads etc) do look great but would like to focus on the logos. Colour preferences are earthy tones - copper, orange, (not sure about gold), grey & black also good. Anything that says minerals.

Did I read that correctly?! You "reserve the right" to steal any tag lines submitted without paying anything for them? Not how it works. If the logo you like and the tag line you like were not submitted by the same entrant, you should award two winners or arrange to buy the other winner. I assume you didn't realize what you were suggesting here.

Hi all - thanks for your efforts. Can I suggest that you don't get caught up on trying to incorporate mining symbols in the logo. We are looking for innovative and sophisticated, so happy for the symbolism to be more abstract. Blake's submission is on the right track, but think refined and elegant. Happy to answer questions if that would help.
