We are launching a new survival website http://www.redbooksurvival.org. We would like to have some sort of crest or coat of arms in our logo. We want to tell the world we are the standard in survival and we intend to produce a top notch survival book. I think we want to make RedBook one word. We do like the idea of a gold cross on a red shield of some type. I did a quick mockup and attached it to this contest. The logo needs to fit its surroundings. The site will look a lot like http://survivallife.com

most CH's get ideas / concepts from the designers and communicate with others to complete them, so sometimes it is better not to be hidden competition, or at least the end of the contest, they have to show what drawings attended it.

we had selected a logo that did use a coat of arms... but we could not communicate effectively with the artist. We really really came close to selecting it but in the end went with our second choice. Sorry but honestly thought the coat of arms would be best... but in the end we changed our minds

It's really painful because contest brief and attached file is far away from the wining logo . However congratulation the winner paxslg and thanks Mr. doug99collins.

the winning logo has nothing to do with either your brief and design requests nor with the picture you attached as representation of what you want. No coat of arms, no yellow and red cross flag, no medieval/knight like look. After all designers here waited almost 1 month after deadline for your decission now you award a logo nothing to do with what you asked. Great! Really professional ! Fo!

  I hope the contest holder should be more careful and professional in logo brief. Cause, so many designer spend their valuable time and effort based on brief and attachment.
