Contest Brief

Please create a Logo for our upcoming professional website ‘The Nordics’ that will be launched in September. The website will be utilised by Nordic people (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Island) and Australian and New Zealand companies.

We want a clean logo that gives a serious and professional impression. Keywords for our business is Trustworthy, Liberal, and Productive.

We want the logo to include two elements:

1) Our company name ‘The Nordics’. This text should be the main element of the logo. We want it to have a clean font that is easy to read. We were thinking of blue colour for the text, but am open for other suggestions.

2) A ‘Detail’ attached to the company name. This ‘Detail’ should not be too detailed and complicated. The ‘Detail’ should ideally have following two symbolic features:
a) Nordic connection
b) Community angle. The Nordic countries come together
Not sure what this ‘Detail’ could be. We have briefly talked about a twinning rope with the colours of the five countries’ flags (yellow, blue, white and red), formed in a circle. Or perhaps thin lines with the colours in the shape of an eternity symbol. These are just two ideas, we would love to see many other creative ideas.
