Contest Brief

We are online retailers based in the United Kingdom and require our product brand logo updating. This logo will appear on all our product packaging, as well as the actual products, so it needs to be perfectly clear and legible on a variety of materials and surfaces.

We sell all sorts of products for the home, and continuously expand our range with new designs and ideas. This does mean therefore that we don't want the theme to be based on any particular product type or range, as this may well change in the future.

The only word that we need in the logo is "Dihl", everything else is up to you. If you want to use symbols, shapes etc, you can do and we'll rate as the competition progresses.

We'd like something simple and elegant, and above all original; we don't want any clip-art or plagiarised submissions. If you believe that any of the work submitted has been plagiarised in one form or another, please let us know. We want this to be fair to everybody involved.

Final deliverable to be in vector format (Illustrator preferably).

  Thanks for the entry. I think the problem is the amount of detail; intricate lines, many small shapes. We have to imagine these logos printed on physical products as well as on paper and websites.

Hi guys, thank you for the entries so far. I have been deleting messages on this board that ask for ratings, please don't be offended by this. We rate each and every logo as a matter of course, and would prefer to keep the Clarification Board free so that we can answer any queries you might have.

  We don't have any particular preference, but it has to look good in black and white too as it will be printed with a variety of different processes.
