Contest Brief

I need a beautiful logo for a new creative project/venture that i am working on.

"Folkstitch" will be a crafty/lifestyle blog where I (creative, artful and loving stay-at-home mum of two) share my love of the "good life" and all things handmade, with a primary focus on the textile arts (mostly crochet, knitting but sewing too).

I will also have an Etsy/Folksy shop where I will sell my handmade goods (primarily for children (blankets) and the home (cushions, lampshades etc.)), and will be creating a social media presence so the design needs to work on Facebook/Twitter as well (either in full or with a unique icon to represent my brand).

Words to describe my products/style:
upmarket, quality craftsmanship and materials
Organic/natural materials (wool, fabric etc.), eco minded
A blend of bohemian/vintage style; free-spirited
COLOUR! Often bold and beautiful, sometimes soft and muted, but always JOYFUL.
Earthy, artful, playful
Feminine, but not overly "girly" or "chintsy"

I am open to creative ideas but what I have in my hand is beautiful hand-drawn typography and icon representing wool/stitching etc. that would translate well in social media, fun use of colour etc., perhaps a slightly rustic feel to it.
