Looking for a new logo/icon that will be used as the Logo for my company.

Specifically, contestants can choose from one of these two options:
1.) Provide two designs, which can be combined (similar to the existing logo, attached)
~ First design: just a logo.
~ Second design: just text of the company name: "Schoodic Technologies"
2.) Provide a single design of a logo with the company name "Schoodic Technologies" integrated into it somehow

Other notes:
1.) My current icon is attached, but it is licensed in a restrictive manner. I want to have a new one made which I wholly own.
2.) I like the combination of a sun and water, as the company is involved in renewable Solar and Hydro-electric energy.
3.) These should be generated in SVG format (ideally using Inkscape), so that I can exported as PNG files.
4.) Resolution should be high, the idea behind SVG format is that I can scale it down as needed.

Other than that, take creative license and come up with something that is CLEAN, SIMPLE, and ORIGINAL. I eventually would like this logo to be included in my website, my physical products, and even polo shirts!

UPDATE: I would also be interested in a logo design that is something like a Swiss Army knife, only with an Ethernet cable, a USB flash drive, and/or a lightning bolt/electricity coming out of it. I'm an electrical and computer engineer, so feel free to come up with something clever.
