Design a Logo for CDL FORCE

Contest Brief

Hello everyone,
This is my first project request on freelancer.com, so please have some patience for me.

I need two logos for two sister companies. So the logos need to match in colors and style.
First company name is: CDL JOB OFFERS
Second company name is: CDL FORCE
Both companies are recruiting Truck Drivers with CDL (Commercial Driver License). Dealing with truck drivers (mostly men) require a logo to be bold, strong, and confident looking.

For CDL Job Offers, my idea is to have CDL spelled out in the shape of the truck and trailer, and JOB OFFERS spelled out underneath (“job” bellow “CD,” and “offers” bellow “L”). I would like “JOB OFFERS” to be all capital letters, italicized and underlined. See the attachment for some sketches.

For CDL FORCES, the main concept is the same. Use the same “CDL” part from your logo for “CDL JOB OFFERS,” and just add “FORCE” on the top of the letter ”L,” making sure to fit nicely. I would like “FORCE” to be all capital letters, italicized, and a little bigger than “JOB OFFERS.” Underline the whole logo with two lines. See the attachment for some sketches.

Colors I like are black, white, gray, grayish-blue, and yellowish. None of these colors should to be too bright. I would like to see some texture and shades in the letters.

P.S. I truly appreciate your creativity, but please try to follow my instructions as much as you can, and try to create the logos that match my sketches.

    Now, for “CDL FORCE,” the assignment has become way easier. Since I decided to change the concept, “CDL” part should be exactly the same as for “CDL Job Offers” (so the illusion of the truck), and the “Force” needs to be only spelled out on the top part of the letter “L.”(Please check out the BRIEF for this project again, since I completely changed it, and added some sketches for better understanding).

    I would like everyone that is still interested in participating in this contest to take a look at #14 (clean cut for “CDL”, and strong masculine font for “job offers.” The only thing it`s missing is for letter “L” to be longer, so the job” goes directly bellow “CD” and “offers” goes directly below “L.”). Please, give me your version of that. I don`t want you guys to copy each other, but I`m just trying to point you in the right direction.

    Hello everyone,
    I ran a little survey among my friends and family to get some opinions on your logos. I have to say that the comments were harsh. First of all, almost everyone advised me to completely change the concept for “CDL FORCE.” The idea with the “tire” seems to have a bad feedback. The voted winner from that survey for “CDL Job Offers” was #14. So, here is what we need to do.

    #1 “CDL” turned out great, just try changing the font for “job offers” to something more sharp (kind of like #8).

    #8 I like sharp font for “job offers,” although I would like to see “FORCE” and “JOB OFFERS” have the same font. So, just maybe try few different ones. “CDL” part I would like to see slightly cleaner, closer to “CDL” part in #1. Maybe try it without the wheels.

    #6 the only things I would like to try changing are:
    -make “FORCE” a little bigger and striking ( I like the font, but it seems to be too small, maybe try to make the grey part of the tire a bit wider, so the “FORCE” could be bigger.
    -put “FORCE” a bit to the right side of the tire, not quite in the middle.
    - In order to make a good connection between sister companies “CDL FORCE” and “CDL Job Offers”
    CDL in the middle of the tire could also have the shape of the truck like #1 or #8, and maybe also slightly on the angle (to the right).

    Thanks for your quick responses. For right now I like #6 the best for CDL FORCE, and #8 and #1 are both on a good way of capturing my vision for CDL Job Offers.
