We are starting a brand new homebuilding company, Vivere Homes, and need an amazing logo for a new and innovative company. Vivere will build homes in the North Florida area and will have a subtle beachy theme.

There will be three main divisions of Vivere: play, grow and relax. We would like a logo to represent the company and all 3 of its divisions: Play, Grow and Relax.
1. Play – homes in more urban areas for people who desire to be able to walk to shops, dining, entertainment (city imagery)
2. Grow– homes for growing families, in suburbs, more space, yards, etc. (family, home imagery)
3. Relax– homes for those focused on relaxation, empty-nesters, older adults, etc. (beach, palm tree, hammock, etc imagery)

We like the idea of silhouettes of houses/structures/families/etc and have included a document with images for reference. These are for inspiration only. Please be creative in your interpretation. Looking forward to seeing some incredible designs!

Dear Contest Holder,

I'm a designer with a particular interest in the Real Estate, Building and Architecture industry.
I read your brief very carefully and could not help to notice a few things:
1 - you have already a very clear idea of the style you like for the logo
2 - the inspiration images you provided are very generic and will do your company a disservice if your strategy includes standing out from your competition
3 - you have wisely included a summary of the building activities planned for the future but the brief does not talk about your branding strategy (the visual emotive message that a logo should convey in order to translate the promise of a brand)

Would you be willing and open to discuss these very crucial aspects of your branding strategy, as part of a logo design strategy?
Or are you simply interested in just having someone materialize your predefined design concept, which in my opinion might not necessarily be what your company needs in order to succeed?

  *I will try not to use too much designer jargon when communicating with you, but if I must, I will explain what it means. A mind-map is what a good designer does before sketching a logo image. It's a list of adjectives that translate the spirit of your business. After selecting the key adjective(s), that word or words are translated into a single image that could become the potential image of your brand.

  Interesting question as we have gone back and forth about this quite a bit. I think at this point we'd like one logo that can hopefully represent all 3. If that gets too busy, we may take it and break it up into 3 separate.
