Design a Logo for adventure business "Venture Out Australia"

Contest Brief

I am starting an adventure tour business called "Venture Out Australia" and I need a logo designed. We are beginning with mountain bike tours, but I want to keep the scope open for development of any adventurous tours, so I want the logo design not limited to just one activity/location. The values behind the business: venture out of your comfort zone, venture into nature, think outside the square, explore, venture outside of yourself.

My customer base is very broad, mainly targeting tourists from the city over the summer with an age range of 15-60 yrs of age, but probably most customers will be 20-40 years of age.

Re colours: I like black on white, but many other outdoor companies seem to use green/orange/blue, and I am open to using colour.
For the logo, the text for the "Venture Out" should be the most prominent part of the logo and "Australia" smaller/underneath the logo.

I'd also like to be printing the logo on clothing and stickers to sell around tours. So something that looks like a good "brand" rather than just a logo. Something that's wearable and yet readable.

Also allowing space on the logo to be site specific to make a tshirt a souvenir, such as

"Venture Out"
Melbourne
Australia

and with space to incorporate a tag line when printed on tshirts such as:

"Venture Out"
of your comfort zone

or

"normal is overrated...."
"Venture Out"
"Australia"

Font could be a be a rugged bold/muddy style for the "venture". But am really needing some great design expertise!! See attached images for a couple of my designs if you need ideas.

Just another suggestion on a design idea; a sketched line that draws a wave, connected to a mountain and then becomes a bike tread print (with Venture Out underneath), a similar concept to file number four attached (but I'm not a very good drawer). Thanks!

    hey guys, I added another sketch to the brief that includes wave and mountain in the brand, have a look and see if it help. it is incorporating some of your concepts you have included in your designs as well. Remember, I prefer worn/rugged font. Looking forward to seeing your designs!

    Thanks for the submissions so far. I am not looking for animals in my logo. Something that symbolises a spirit of adventure would be great. I think maximum 2 colours.
