Arkansas Business Publishing Group (ABPG) is a niche publishing company that produces high-quality print and digital publications for a host of targeted audiences. After almost 20 years with the same logo, we're ready for a logo change. We need a logo that is versatile, spanning many niche audiences from business executives to duck hunters to newly engaged couples. This logo will be placed on covers, mastheads, letterheads, business cards, signage around the building, etc. We do not have any specifications about colors, fonts, symbols, etc. We want a polished and professional logo that will lead us into our next 20 years. We're open to designs that use our full (and very long) name, "Arkansas Business Publishing Group" or that use our initials "ABPG."

We do NOT want to over emphasize the print aspect of our business. We are a media company, and as with the rest of the world, more and more of our work if going digital. While we believe our magazines have a good long life yet, we know they all already have digital components that are essential to our brand.

We do NOT want to emphasize the word Arkansas as we are doing more business outside of the state. We do NOT want to emphasize the words Arkansas Business, because our portfolio includes a wide range of publications and websites that are NOT business oriented. It's just that our flagship product locally is a weekly magazine called Arkansas Business. We need a logo that can help us brand ABPG as a company on our over 21 newspapers, magazines, and websites as well as our custom publishing and website divisions. The logo and icons should be clean, sophisticated and "forward leaning". Not too trendy, more classic, but with a very modern feel.

We also need to see the logo running both vertically and horizontally. Due to the many applications for the logo on our many different products, we need flexibility. We have found that those designs with multiple applications are more helpful and attractive by showing us the many ways we might employ the logo.

Deliverables:
We want to see a full design of the logo.

PS: guys, will u please stop asking to unseal the contest- it is automatically unsealed when the transactions and file transfers are complete (Although I personally would prefer that this was not the case, since if it is found that the winning entry has copyright infringement issues nothing can be done once the deal is complete.)

I told my boss yesterday that I wanted to choose 4 or 5 logos, but of course we must choose only one. The designs have been so beautiful, and it has been such a pleasure for me to see the wonderful talent around the world. I feel badly that we must choose only one, but that is, of course, the only hope for the logo rebranding. I apologize for not doing a better job of directing the contest and greatly appreciate everyone's time and talents.
