Contest Brief

Design a logo for the video gaming and eSports pub "Player vs. Pint". The logo should have the ability to be applied to digital and print media. The target audience for the logo is the video game and geek communities.

1) It should include the name "Player vs. Pint". (See attachments for logos from similar businesses)

2) The name player vs. pint is a spin on a common gaming term player vs. player often shorten to PVP and we know that our customers will shorten our name to PVP as well. So try and work PVP into the logo somehow.

The winner will be our first consideration for future work for things like food menu and website banner designs.

It may just be bad direction on my part but most of the submissions I've seen so far has been very kiddish. This is for a bar after all. The logo should be attractive to the adult gamer. I have attached some logos from similar businesses for guidance.

  Like I said it may just be bad direction on my part. Yes, I want a logo for a geek-gamer bar and I would like a stick figure fighting a pint of beer worked in somehow but it shouldn't look cheesy. I know that's a very subjective term but I don't know a better way to explain it. I will go through all that have submitted so far and try to provide feedback for each one. Maybe that will help.
