Contest Brief

We need a logo design for a new tutoring company in Sydney called "Sponge Education".

The tuition service will help students studying physics, chemistry and maths. We notice that students approaching the end of high school can become really stressed out, especially over the technical subjects. We’re all about making learning fun and manageable, without piling extra homework and pressure onto students!

The company will have a strong online social media presence. We want to start conversations about the best ways to study, and how to manage stress, as well as teaching content itself.

As a bit of background, Sponge Education will offer the following:
- Face to face tuition
- Online videos
- Workshops during the holidays
- Motivational events to inspire students
- Workshops for parents

The website will be www.spongeeducation.com.

We would like to see designs that encapsulate what Sponge Education is all about.

The logo needs to be dark blue (#113044) on a white background. For each logo design, please provide a version with the text "Sponge Education" and a version without the text. Sponge Education will need to be in the font “Raleway”. (Please see attached image for a guide.)

IMPORTANT: Please provide all logo designs in .psd (layered file) and .png formats.
No clip art please!

UPDATE: We are looking for simple designs that reflect the values of Sponge (studying without stress.) We prefer logos that do not use cliche images such as graduation hats, books etc. Looking for something different, but not too wacky!

UPDATE NO. 2: After being inspired by one of the logos, it would be great to see a couple of logos with superman-type stick figures around the text. Not too lame/cliche, but appropriate for the brief.

FINAL UPDATE: Attached is the final logo design that we would like to see. Please submit version of this where the "sponge education" text is in colour #113044, the character is in #236188, and the "S" on the character's chest is in WHITE. Cape can be any colour red you like - brighter is better.

.psd what about vector in a file with format .eps created with adobe illustrator? you just have to go in the file Menu and select export as PNG and it will create a HD Image of the logo right there at your desktop screen?
