Contest Brief

Project Description:
We are looking for a logo and iOS App icon for a new app called "ArtsTwist". The aim of the game is to find items in well known paintings. The target audience is 6-12 year olds and their parents.

We just added a file to give you an idea of what we like - hopefully this will help

Requirements:
1. flat logo created to iOS 7 standards
2. 3 designs - 2 designs for the App - we need the word 'Lite' on one version and one without, 1 design for the logo
3. app design - we were thinking either a children friendly 'mascot' - see attachment for ideas
4. logo - use the idea from the app design and our full name 'ArtsTwist'
5. simple colours - possibly one or two colours - as we develop more apps in the series, we can change the colours, but leave the symbol/mascot the same
6. we would like vector file of the logo

We would like something that is smart, fun, simple, clean and memorable. We can't wait to see what you come up with!

  Yes!! This is more in line with what we are thinking - thanks! OK, just a few changes please:
  1. Change the font so it is similar to the one we had on our attachment - maybe the font on the bottom right of the document. Can you show us an option with blue/grey and all grey?
  2. We need to be able to use the owl inside the App (not just on the icon) and grey/white is not strong enough. One idea is if you look at the blue app icon, for example, could you create a separate blue owl that we can use in the game that matches the background?

Hi there - thanks - a lot of great designs, but not really what we are after. I thought would be easier if I uploaded a file to show you some designs we liked with a colour pallet and fonts. We are really thinking of a kid friendly mascot. Have a look at the file and see what you can do. Sorry, some might get a low rating just because it is not what we are after.

Thanks for all the submissions so far. I am meeting with my colleague tomorrow and will have some more feedback for you. Just one thing, there are quite a few design which have a lot of colour. We are really looking for something more simple - maybe 2 colours. the idea is that as we roll out more apps, we can simply change the colour rather than a complete redesign. If I have given a 1 rating, it is simply because there are too many colours.

The App is not a game where the child draws or paints. Instead, they are looking at paintings to find details hidden in the paintings. Some designs are great, but give the impression of drawing or painting, which is why I only gave it one star.
