Hi, I need a design/logo for a company named "kryptonomic" for use on a website and on business cards. I don't know how to describe what I mean by "simplicity" so I have attached a number of designs that I found on the internet that I think are beautiful and capture what I mean.

The firm does computing and finance, so subtle allusions to themes relevant to those fields are welcome.. e.g., binary trees, binary number 1001100101000110011110111, etc.

Here's a concept, if anyone wants to try to design it. The name is a combination of "cryptography" and "economics". In LISP 3 plus 4 is expressed (+ 3 4), so.. ( + kryptonomic ). Not sure if it will work, so the idea is not a spec, just a suggestion.

I'll be upgrading my favourite set of submissions to 4* soon and will chose one amongst those by the end of the week.

  I'm not accusing you of copying, and thank you for the clarification, I belive you. It's inevitable that identical ideas are created independently some times. I just can't take the risk of replicating someone else's logo. Thank you for your contribution, it was good, but I was leaning towards something else anyway.

  And kindly check #549 , which is based on same idea, with a different twist. More minimalistic, yet very recognizable and can serve as a standalone icon/brand.
  Again, please read the description as well, to break down the idea which the design is based on for you (although it's quite obvious). This number means something to me 1001100101000110011110111. It's 25 digits, will fit into a square 5x5. Anyone want to have a crack at a logo with that idea? Doesn't have to be '1' and '0's, dots of two different colours will work, or something else.
