Design a creative outdoor living concept and render

Contest Brief

We are looking for a creative concept for an outdoor living area which creates the feeling of an enclosed space but still enables guests to take in views of the lawns and gardens. We want to incorporate an outdoor fireplace and the area could include fixed seating, raised up planters, water features or similar. The area will need to comfortably entertain up to 20-30 guests. It will need to be in keeping with the overall look and style of the house and also have minimal impact on the garden views from the bifolding doors of the family room. We are flexible as to the actual location and layout of the area which could be an addition to the current deck or a new area infront of the main bay window. We are also happy to modify the flower garden with brick edging on the small hill if required.

Design Considerations

The level of the current deck from the ground is 350mm
Prevailing winds come from the west which is from the flower garden side.
The house faces directly north and gets sunshine directly into the area.
The area must incorporate an outdoor fireplace

      Hi Pranusantara, thanks for your question. We are not limited in space but expect the final area will be around 40m2 to 50m2 or similar. It is really up to you as to where you think this would work best in relation to the house and hope you have a winning concept.

    Hi, I would love to help you design this, I have a good experience in landscaping design as well as residential design and I also have excellent 3d rendering skills.

    However, a project like this is time consuming and doing it as a contest it seems as too much of a risk.

    I don't know who will have time to do a quality entry for this prize, but if you want a good design, including multiple versions if necessary, please contact me and we can do it as a project instead of contest.
