Contest Brief

Hi,

I need some playing cards designed. I can provide templates for the design of the cards - attached.

For this contest I would like a design for the back of the cards only. The winner of the contest will also be hired for future work to design custom pips, face cards, jokers, and a special card in addition to designing the tuck box for the cards to be packaged in.

Desired Look/Feel for this contest:
These cards will be forming the standard entry-level product of a line of cards that will include "Standard", "Premium", and "Super Premium" versions.
They should be generic enough that they appeal to a wide audience, be available in 2 or more coloured back designs, and be unique to other options that are available on the market.
These cards will be used for general card applications such as a poker night with friends, bridge club, or single-player use.
Prevalent colours in the market include blue and red, however other colours will be acceptable. At least one back design should be in a similar blue colour to the standard Bicycle Playing cards: http://www.game-gamblers.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Bicycle-Blue.jpg
Note that the dots in the Bicycle image are a part of the paper stock, not of the design.
