This is a test to find a modeler and texture artist that can generate 3D assets for concept work. We are looking for someone who can work very quickly, and can generate good design ideas on the fly with minimal direction. We are looking for someone who can achieve the specific "rough painted" look that we need for the texture, so that it blends in with other painted artwork. If successful, this could lead to much more work.

The artist should use the "Ship_Sketches" image as a guide, but ad their own ideas to make it more interesting or improve it.

The other images should be used for texture reference. The final texture should look like a speed painting. It should have extra details that feel hand painted to break up the CG nature of the model. The artist should be able to find the right balance between modeled details and painted details.

The final entry should be a textured .obj model, or a .c4d file, and an accompanying rendered jpg image. The poly density should be reasonably low.

  True, it is, but there is limit of pulling someone leg. Seeing this kinda contest where holder don't appreciate work and deliberately putting lowest price is not giving me any motivation to work for him. It is not about money, it's about principle.

50$ is under price, depreciate more, next time make it 25$ it will pass don't worry. You say more work this is just test, yea more work of same kind, waiting high entries for low pay. It is shame how all designers fight each other with entries and kiss ass some stranger just to get lousy 50 $, this is not work this is ripoff. This site is shame, every work on this site is underrated. You don't understand, let me simplify, 5 $ my attention, 10 $ thinking, 10$ sketch, 5$ turning on 3d app, 20 more to go... 10$ modeling and 10$ more for texturing and everything else is on the house, enjoy... One more ship, no problem... You will get free drone with it. Let the slaughter begins, sorry for this, good luck everyone, maybe even I join to, i guess that i always dreamed of modeling spaceship, not.

I see projects like this so often, that I really started to think about changing my profession (3D Artist) and take a taxi driver license or something... this is shame, shame and shame for all of us! I wonder if you can even get a piece of cake for 50 buck or an ice cream in US...
