I need a cover for a book that would contain images representing the three HORROR stories that are within it. One story is about an evil banyan tree, another story is about a 850 pound obese man who suddenly loses a lot of weight and the third story is about a man who fell from the sky on a highway near an exit called Cooks Lake Rd. He falls onto the hood of a car and virtually explodes from the impact and his entrails go everywhere -
The title of the book is "Bloodstained Tales of Sin and Sex"
The author is "David Hearne" author of The Christmas Special and Hulagu's Web
You could also include the Seven Deadly sins on the cover which are : Pride - Envy - Gluttony - Lust - Wrath - Greed - Sloth
The book size is 6 inches wide and 9 inches high - we also need the back cover and the spine created The text on the back cover will be completed by others once the book is ready for publication, but you need to create its design (the background to the text).
The book cover needs to be bold and eye-catching and conspicuously different - has to be a bit dark in its feeling.
IT NEEDS TO BE ORIGINAL – NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENTS. Please create your own original images. Obvious copyrighted images will be rejected wasting your time and ours.
The titling for the name of the writer is already completed and is provided with this contest. This type of font and shadowing should be used on the bottom of the front cover in large letters just as the attached graphic already displays. The Author's name is in large bold letters. The book’s title should be red and look similar to blood dripping or if you have a better idea submit it.
Hope to see some very creative work. Also you name will appear in the acknowledgements as the book cover artist.

  If all three short stories can be represented great, but if you have some wonderful and powerful ideas that just reference a couple of the stories than that is fine.

  The white background cover with the larger tree is the one i like the most right now. I think it could be improved by having the names of the seven sins on tombstones instead of just a line of words. The tombstones could be around the base of the tree - different size and different looking tombstones for each sin. The tombstones could also be tipped, some vertical and some almost tipped over.
  Also I think if you look up bloody fonts or halloween fonts you would be able to find stronger fonts for the actual book title. The titling of the author's name is great - nothing needs to be changed there, but i think a font where there is blood dripping down or that looked like the words were done in blood would be more dramatic for the book title.

  I would like it to have leaves. It was evil and good because it killed those who harmed the previous residents and of course protected those previous residents from harm.
