  Here is a link to the historical courthouse in Marshall, Texas. https://texastimetravel.com/directory/harrison-county-historical-museum-historic/ This courthouse can be used as the image for one of the four bottle lines if you choose. Remember - I am hoping to have a umbrella company logo for Caddo Distilling and then incorporating that onto a bottle label for the four brands - Black Cypress (all whiskeys such as bourbon, rye, etc.), Mystic Moss (gin), Uncertain Spirits (vodka and flavored vodka products) and Tejas (blue agave).
  
  Couple of notes - I cannot legally call the agave "Tequila" (even though that is what it will be). Mexico holds the name for tequila and only agave spirit made in Mexico can be labeled tequila.
  
  I am fine with each of the brand labels being different in colors and backgrounds. Just please try to tie the brands together under the Caddo Distilling umbrella by having a cypress tree or company logo for Caddo on each brand. (1 of 2)

  This is a link to a company that makes gin. In the top arch you see the company name and then down below is the brand name and type of gin. This could be an idea for putting the cypress tree or name Caddo Distilling in the arch and then the brand names below. I think the principal brand name or its mark should be on top and the larger secondary brand name needs to pop out and be more in the middle of the bottle with the liquor type below.

  You can differentiate each brand by color scheme, font, or label background.
  
  "Bill and Charlie's Tea Room" is a house on stilts that has been there since Prohibition and widely photographed. It would make a good background.   Steamboats are also good background. Steamboats used to take cotton from Jefferson, Texas all the way to New Orleans, LA by crossing Caddo Lake and then taking the red river to the Mississippi River.
  
  Uncertain Spirits comes from the name of the town Uncertain, Texas which is on the banks of the lake. Look up the history of its unique name to learn more. Black Cypress is the name of one of the three bayous that feed the lake.

  2. Caddo Lake was home to the Caddo Indian tribe. Some folks have used Indian images and motifs in their design, which is fine. I do want the images to be historically correct, sensitive to the tribes culture, and please no offensive characterizations (like the Washington Redskins or Cleveland Indian logos).
  3. Steamboats traveled the lake and could go all the way from Jefferson, TX to New Orleans, LA. Caddo Lake also was the site of the first offshore oil and gas wells in the world. Things such as the steam boats, oil platforms, wildlife and historically relevant images are fine.
  4. We are leaning against modern, minimalist type logos and fonts.

     ok, I just read your comment that steamboats and wildlife are worth, in addition to the trees with the moss; So, what I'm going to do is an illustration in the same style as the one of the tree that I made for each drink; vodka = tree, tequila = boat, Gin = fauna...   5. Check out the background on several famous sites - "Government Ditch", "Dick and Charles Tea Room", "Crips Camp". These can be incorporated in any designs.
  6. I am leaning towards having four distinct product lines - Black Cypress (this is the whiskey line for products such as bourbon, rye whiskey, and moonshine); Mystic Moss (this is the gin product); Uncertain Spirits (the vodka line) and Tejas (blue agave). I want the product line name to be the dominant name but the label should reference Caddo Distilling if possible and have a cypress tree somewhere if possible since that is the main company mark. Some of you have put "house of brands" on your submissions. Please delete that. What I mean was that Caddo Distilling Company is a "house of brands" style structure in that it owns four distinct brands (Black Cypress, Mystic Moss, Uncertain Spirits, and Tejas) just like General Motors owns Chevrolet, Buick, Hummer, and GMC.

  Hello Everyone:
  
  Thank you to all that have submitted ideas. This is a passion project for me and I hope to have an ongoing relationship for design of packaging, merchandise, advertising, etc. with whomever is chosen. Things to focus your work on:
  
  1. We want to have the Cypress trees with hanging moss in the logo. The logo that was created by my other company is a stand of 4 bald cypress trees. Caddo Lake has one of the largest stands of bald cypress trees in the world and is a internationally recognized wetland area protected under the Ramsar Covention. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caddo_Lake. The trees are iconic in this area and have been heavily photographed and shot in movies, etc. Be sure the tree image used is a cypress tree and has spanish moss hanging.
