Contest Brief

We are looking for a revised website design that will update our current website www.thehamptonsbloomington.com. We will need the same function plus ability to edit content. We would also like to add a calendar of events page that would allow us to enter events at the property or in the community as informational content for our residents. We would also like a "badge" on the homepage that would say " Hurry and Join the Wait list to live in The Hamptons." that would take you to a quick "Apply Online" page. Possibility of CMS with User login would be a factor in selecting winning design. Our residents are all young college age students ( 18-22 years old).

This contest requires candidates to provide example design ideas for our website. along with any suggestions or comments of added features. Please also provide short timetable to complete this project.

    Hello dewmagic - Thank you for your comments. I have spoken with Freelancer on this topic and I want to make clear to all entries that this is for the design and code for a fully functioning website. I was hoping to keep this simple and provide someone with 2-3 days worth of work for the prize money. I will add this to the contest brief but please, only entries for design + code for functioning website. Please withdraw your entry if you do not plan on providing the code.

      Thanks for your reply. I understand what you want but coding is not a simple job. So if i start coding and it will take 8-10 days then if you tell that you don't like the site then my 8-10 days work will be Zero.

    Hi,

    I have a request that can you please contact with freelancer and talk with them regarding contest and project. There is a difference between contest and project. Contest only for design not coding. If you solve this after talk with freelancer then it will be good either it will create problem with any designer in future.

      Hi dewmagic, I suppose your statement is wrong ! Freelance.com clearly states that Contests are good for design but they are not limited to ..REG this contest the contest holder clearly states in his Title to "Build" a website rather than to say "Get me a mockup", i hope its clear, cheers

      Its contest holder's decision whether the contest is for design or for design + code. There is nothing unfair.

      Normally participants will create design and after getting approval of that design (from contest holder), will start coding. No one will make code first without accepted design unless its an edit to a pre coded website or template.
      So its like a design contest with many designs and one coding.

      So design or design + code for contest is OK.
