(read at the Bottom for a different take on the book cover if the first is too daunting)
Looking for a book cover design for a book series titled Little Morbids (short story books) (I've attached some book cover images for font ideas and kind of the creepyness and age appropriate visuals I'm looking for...PLEASE check Them OUT!)
It can be dark, but it can also have some color to it so everything doesnt just blend together.
I don't want to rip off goosebumps. Incorporate the title Little Morbids into the imagery at the Top portion of the book to be the title with imagery and then have it border the side... down to the bottom where there is nothing in the center of the book cover so that i can add my own picture content for each book cause each book will be a different story.Its for ages 10-15 I want a title that evokes horror, scary, creepy, not cheesy.
Think like Goosebumps (however it is cheesy) but relate to how it is a book series with its own familiar Font which surrounds or surmounts a picture relating to the content of the book. ( I do not want the title to be dripping blood or any dripping blood on the cover, too cliche')
I would like a photoshop expert to create the image in photoshop so that i can have the .PSD file so in case i later want to change the name or something. I would like an image incorporated with the Title that can surround the whole book page or the top to midway...
Think Scary, Creepy, its a book series about monsters, aliens, supernatural, werewolves, vampires, zombies, and anything else frightening.
Title is Little Morbids
A different take on the Cover would be simpler: A book cover in black and white. (A background of some type of felt-like paper or recycled paper with an antique aspect maybe, it doesn't have to be a strong looking background it could even be slightly opaque (on photoshop) not just straight white background or you could depending on how it looks and see what I think) The border all the way around the book is something creepy like skeleton hands reaching out from tree limbs towards the title or vines border the enter cover but at the bottom for my author name (Zach Miller & Jessica Vrabec) have it space apart to border the name too or something of the sort (Or skeletons standing there holding my name or standing like they are leaning on my name..)But doesn't have to be skeletons (signifying death) could be just nature or something but black and white like its just a simple sketch or drawing on a piece of paper. The title can be in the middle "little Morbids" or "Little Morbids" and it can be small or big or what have you. Then below that will be the subtitle in small italicized letters (The Wishing Man) If I did this every book would look like this with just different titles besides Little Morbids.
