Contest Brief
Hello,
Before we start describing the contest, please make sure that you read abide the following rules:
- do not post copy/paste images from the web, you will be banned from the contest
- take your time to carefully read the contest description and specifications
About what we need: we want to design an icon set to describe restoration shops (restaurants, pizza shop, and others) similarly to what you see near hotel presentation (the small icons describing the services provided and offered by the structure) and here are project specifications:
TECHNICAL SPEIFICATIONS:
- IMPORTANT: icons must be culture-free, no text if possible
- IMPORTANT: where required add a layer for customization
- you are advised to put a watermark on your work
- make a single (or multiple if you prefer) layered PSD file of 150dpi resolutions
- icon must be squared with rounded borders (2.5cm per side)
- must have high contrast, you can design very simple icons
- icon must be overall visible also if resized to 20px for web purpose
- you can design 2 color tones icons, also white on black is accepted
BLIND PARTECIPATION:
we will refund the winner of the contest of any blind fee he has paid to partecipate, blind submission is *not* required but designer decision. Please be advised that only the winner of the contest will be refunded of such fee, we will refund max $10 which equals to 20 submission.
ICON LIST (some are very similar / simple):
- speciality: meat, fish, pasta, pizza (one pictogram each)
- ethnic cooking: japanese, greek, brasillian (we will elaborate others our own from template)
- kind of food: vegan, vegetarian, macrobiotic (one pictogram each)
- shop with toilette for impaired people [hint: design a toilette door with impaired ppl logo on it]
- free wi-fi service for customers
- wood oven coocking [hint: design a wood oven with burning wood]
- menu with alternative for celiac people (gluten free)
- air-conditioned [hint: use common pictogram for this]
- garden inside [design a simple garden with a table and seat]
- dogs welcome
- kids zone // family friendly [hint: you can design a kid slide or something]
- full menu starting from... [hint: design art with some blanck space where to add the price]
+ starry chef (mean the structure received 1,2,3 stars on michlen guide)
+ panoramic terrace // view [hint: we would appreciate a terrace overlooking a bay if possible]
+ wide wine selection
+ live music
+ swimming pool
+ certified biologic kitchen // food (this is really hard, we though a certificate resembling the bio nature)
+ private parking
+ historic shop (we will add the year when the show was established)
BONUS PRIZE:
we have a spare $20 prize to reward the winner suggesting and creating additional qulifying icons that we didnt think of, for further details about this use the private message board, do not publish the "extra" icons in the contest page so you will protect your idea toward the bonus claim.

It wasn't an easy bityh, however we come to a conclusion, I would suggest to anyone, especially the three finalists to add me as I often have graphic works to be completed. A "defeat" is never to be taken personally.

The line between began and vegeratian is really thin to represent it in an icon, I can try using some vegetables in one of them.
